The Peace House has two great new opportunities for volunteers! Our
organizational partner, DESMI, is looking for dedicated volunteers with
experience in agriculture, administration, co-operatives, or water
projects.  DESMI is a well established organization that works with
Zapatista and non-Zapatista communities create and sustain alternative
development projects. And for the spring, Peace House partner COMMPA,
is looking for an individual to help create a curriculum and present
workshops to communities on internet and technology use. People with
experience in computers and teaching are preferred. Please contact the

Doing a little cleaning before winter sets in? Don't throw away those
things, we might be able to use them in the Peace House! We're always
looking for sheets, towels, books, sleeping bags, warm clothes,
blankets, and used technology. Replacing your old printer or digital
camera? We could definitely use them! Please write to
info@chiapaspeacehouse.org for more information, or for our mailing
address. It's also likely that a new volunteer would be able bring a
package with them, so don't be scared off by the cost of international
postage. We'll find a way!
