Encuentro for an Autonomous Life
On April 8-11, a diversity of social groups in Oaxaca organized an "Encuentro for an Automous Life" to highlight the increasing need to identify tools to organize around sustainability and autonomy in Oaxaca. The Encuentro included panels, round tables, workshops, and performances on issues such as holistic and indigenous health perspectives, climate change, water, appropriated technologies, transgenetic corn, struggle against mega-projects in the Isthmus of Oaxaca, and recycling.
