I. Peace House News

This month we welcomed 4 new volunteers who will be working on organic gardening, independent radio programs, book making and pottery workshops and research on globalization and immigration issues.  There's still time to apply to be a summer volunteer with the Peace House.  Deadline April 20.

In March, Peace House volunteers visited three Zapatista Caracoles to learn about strategies of organizing and resistance and propose projects, facilitated two workshops for delegations, translated educational materials, news analysis and urgent actions, assisted in compiling human rights reports, organized and augmented resource libraries for two organizations, worked on organic gardening projects, attended protests and information sessions about campesino rights, women's rights and the Lopez Obrador political situation, and completed the intensive Peace House orientation on Chiapas and Mexico politics, globalization and privilege and international solidarity.

To support a volunteer or project and ensure to the continuation of Peace House programming please consider making a financial contribution. Donations are always greatly needed! Donate
