El ccri-cg del ezln dice su palabra:

Primero.- en 1996, en su cuarta declaración de la selva lacandona, el ezln llamó a la formación del frente zapatista de liberación nacional (fzln), una organización política, civil y pacífica, que no luchara por el poder y se empeñara en la construcción de una nueva forma de hacer política. En ese entonces pensábamos que el fin de la guerra se acercaba y podríamos entonces pasar a la lucha política abierta en el fzln. No fue así, los malos gobiernos siguieron su gerra en contra nuestra y nosotros nos hemos mantenido desde entonces resistiendo. Aunque sin nuestra participación directa, muchos hombres y mujeres de todo méxico (y hasta de otros países) se entraron en el fzln y, cumpliendo con el principio de no luchar por el poder, se empeñaron en construir una nueva forma de hacer política en estos casi 10 años.

EZLNThe EZLN describes the "Intergalactic" and "Sixth" committees to coordinate the international and national campaigns described in the Sixth Declaration, respectively. Dates are announced inviting supporters of the national campaign to Chiapas for meetings in August and September.

The EZLN forms a committee to work with organizations on the Sixth Declaration, sets up two emails address to receive messages of support and criticism respecitively, and announces that on August 1st it will create a preliminary list of supporting organizations and individuals in order to arrange meetings.
